Solarian Insider - OCtober 4th Edition

Greetings Solarians!

I come sharing news regarding Dromedairies specifically today.

The Droma species re-work is complete!

The Dromedairy species has been re-worked to be more in-line with kiamaras while still being unique in their own right. This change now opens them to be more customizable than they were prior so that users can have a bit more freedom when making their Dromas!

These changes include the following;
- Physical Traits now being applicable to Dromas
- Subtypes & Hybrid traits deprecated/New Seasonals added
- Single-Parent Breedings deprecated/Introducing Kia x Droma Breedings
- Numerous item reworks/updates

Each of these changes will be explained in further detail below!

During the month of October, we are temporarily allowing users to send in claims to exchange Kiamara MYOs for Dromedairy MYOs if they wish. You can also send in a claim to exchange a trait stone for a camilk of equal rarity.

Additionally, we have added Common and Uncommmon Droma MYO Tablets to the Tour Guide shop for users to pick up for free for the month of October to celebrate the updates!

Physical Traits for Dromas

Similar to Kiamaras, Dromedairies can now have physical trait edits instead of sticking to the limited options that Subtypes offered.  There are still some limitations to Dromas and the traits they can have, so please keep the following in mind when going to make a Droma!

It is mandatory for Dromas to have hooves, two back humps, and a bovine nose.
Because of this, the following traits are completely incompatible with Dromas;
- 6-9 Spots
- 1-5 Spots
- No Spots
- Paw Variant
- Minor/Major Polydactyl
- Paw Size
- Long/Metal/Colour Changing/Different Substance/Crystalline Claws
- Metal/Colour Changing/Shaped/Glowing/Elemental Paw Pads
- Mammalian Feet
- Nose Variant
- Beaked

Dromas still have limited colour palettes called Genes and therefore are not required to have spots like Kias are. We have updated the Dromedairy MYO Guide to clarify that Dromas can have up to THREE Dominant Genes (six if using the Chimeric Gene trait) and unlimited Recessive Genes. Additionally, we have changed the ruling on Dromas so that the eye colour can be ANY colour and does not have to be a colour present on the Dominant Genes they have. Lastly, in regards to genes, we have changing it so that Common rarity genes can no longer be Recessive.

With these changes, Stasis Droma MYOs can now roll for both Genes AND Physical traits up to Uncommon. If you have a Stasis Droma MYO that is already rolled prior to this update, you can submit a claim to request physical trait also be rolled for it!

We have created trait size guides to match the Kiamara ones as well, to help users when adding physical traits to their Dromas. You can find the download for the PSD with the size guides HERE!

Subtypes & Hybrid Trait Deprecated/New Seasonals Added;

We have fully removed Subtypes due to the update allowing physical traits to be added to Dromas. The Hybrid trait has also been removed due to it being directly correlated with Subtypes. Anyone who's Droma has lowered in rarity or had the hybrid trait removed has already been send compensation in regards to the changes.

Additionally, we help a vote in the discord for which Subtypes users would like to see changed into seasonal traits.
The following were chosen and will be obtainable through the Guild Shops soon;
- Yeti
- Fungal
- Fae
- Supernova

While the examples on the Seasonal Traits show Dromas, these seasonal traits are applicable to Kias as well!

Single-parent Breedings deprecated/Introducing kia x Droma breedings;

In the past, we allowed for Dromas to go through breedings without the need of a secondary parent. These breedings gave the possibility of obtaining Genes specifically from those breedings. After long consideration, we have decided to deprecate the single-parent breedings. They were difficult to track limits on and caused confusion between both users and staff. In the long run, we feel Dromas are at a point where they can have enough diversity breeding with other Dromas or Kias going forward without the need for single-parent breedings. That being said, the genes associated with single-parent breedings have been converted to standard genes and can be obtained through the use of camilks or mutations in breedings.

The second major update in regards to breedings for Dromas is that they can now be bred with Kias. I am going to try and give a quick overview of the way these breedings work but you can read the full breakdown in the Breeding and NMYO Guide!

When Kias and Dromas are bred together, there is a base 50/50 chance of the offspring coming out as a Kia or a Droma. This 50/50 chance is not affected by items/powers/buffs except the Chance Tickets which can be purchased from The Mad Market.

If the child of a Kia x Droma breeding is a Droma, they will get a bonus roll/chance to obtain the Legendary Rainbow Gene so that they can pull colour from both parents. If the roll fails, the child will then roll the genes from the Droma parent to determine what their Dominant/Recessive genes are. Meaning that in those cases where it fails, they would pull aspects of the Kia parent in the form of physical traits, eye colour, and markings.

Numerous Item reworks/updates;

With the numerous above changes, we have updated a long list of items, powers, and buffs to reflect that they are now applicable to both Dromas and Kias! The full list of the items/buffs/powers affected by this change can be found within the change-log in the discord. However, we did want to go over a few of the major changes here as we feel like it was important to highlight these changes!

Updated the description of the Droma NMYO Potion to reflect the following;

  • Grants the user the ability to make their own Droma x Droma OR Kia x Droma breeding.
    Only allows 1 offspring - guaranteed to be a Droma.

-

Updated the description of the Kia NMYO Potion to reflect the following;

  • Grants the user the ability to make their own Kia x Kia OR Kia x Droma breeding.
    Only allows 1 offspring - guaranteed to be a Kia.

-

Changed Common Biome Trinket name to just Biome Trinket

-

Changed use of Biome Trinket from:

  • Changes your Dromedairy from their current biome to either Grassland, Plains, or Sand.

to the following:

  • Allows the user to swap ONE of a Dromedairy's Dominant genes with ONE of their Recessive Genes.
    An example of this would be;
    If your Droma has UC Swamp Gene (BAP - Dominant) and VR Sakura Gene (Recessive) you would swap them so that it instead would be VR Sakura Gene (BAP - Dominant) and UC Swamp Gene (Recessive).

-

Clarified that the Kaleidoscope Trinket is used to exchange a Dominant Gene for another of the same/lower rarity that the Droma does not have.

-

Updated the descriptions of UC/R/VR/L Camilks to swap from mentioning 'Gives Droma X rarity trait' to 'Gives Droma X rarity gene'

-

Took the 'grants Royal Gene' from Crown of the Dancing Noble and added it to the list of uses for the Crown of the Raving Liege and moved Crown of the Dancing Noble from the Species - Trait Item category to the Species - Buff Items.

-

Updated the Royal Blood buff granted from the Crown of the Dancing Noble to the following;

  • Offspring have a +20/20% chance of the Royal Gene to pass to Droma offspring.
  • Offspring have a +10/10% chance of the Metal Horns trait passing to all offspring.
  • Offspring have a +10/10% chance of the Metal Claws trait passing to Kia offspring.
  • Offspring have a +10/10% chance of the Metal Hooves trait passing to Droma offspring.
  • Offspring are unable to obtain the 'Royal Blood' buff.

-

Caspian Mask
Old;

  • Changes a pre-existing Droma's subtype to the Legendary Lop Subtype.
  • Dominant genes must still be present on the Droma unless the Droma has its subtype's default colouration.
  • If they have their subtype's default colouration, they will gain the Lop subtype's default instead upon using this item.

Caspian Mask New;

  • Grants the following traits to a Solarian;
  • Extremely Large Ears
  • Flopped Ears
  • Both traits must be applied.
  • Can be used on existing Solarians or Standard MYOs.

-

Comic Cookie Old;

  • When used on a Dromedairy, Dromedairy MYO, or Dromedairy Breeding/NMYO:
  • Changes the subtype of the Dromedairy to the legendary Cosmic Subtype

Cosmic Cookie New;

  • Grants the following traits to a Solarian;
  • Galactic Hair**
  • Baldness**
  • Furless
  • No Pupil
  • Shaped Ears
  • Can be used on Standard MYOs.
  • Does not require all traits to be used.
  • **If using BOTH Baldness and Galactic Hair, the Galactic Hair would apply to the Tail Tuft.

-

Zombie Cookie Old;

  • When used in a Dromedairy breeding
  • All calves in a breeding will have skeleton markings on their body. This must at least include spine and leg bone markings.
  • All calves have a 25% chance of obtaining the Ghoul Gene.
  • All calves in a breeding will have a 3% chance of obtaining the Bone Tail trait.

Zombie Cookie New;

  • When used in a breeding:
  • All offspring in a breeding will have markings on their body to resemble Frankenstein-like stitching.
  • All Droma offspring have a 25% chance of obtaining the Ghoul Gene.
  • All offspring in a breeding will have a 3% chance of obtaining the Detachable Limbs trait.

-

Added new Mythic trait in regards to the Zombie Cookie changes;

  • Detachable Limbs
  • Solarians with this trait have the ability for their limbs (legs or tail) to detach from their body at will and be moved about, similar to that of an action figure.
  • The detached limb can move/be controlled by the Solarian as if it was still attached.
  • If the limb goes further than 20 feet/6 meters from the Solarian (or vice versa), it appears back in it's usual spot attached to them again.
  • No gore/blood can be depicted with this trait.

-

Marzipan Rose Old;

  • Can use up to 3 of these items on any breeding.
  • Cannot stack the item on the same trait.
  • Applies to all kits and calves in a breeding.
  • When used on a Kiamara/Dromedairy Breeding:
  • Grants an additional +5 to the roll of any trait that the user wishes from any of the traits present on any of the parents, up to Legendary.
  • If there is more than one subtype present among the parents, you can use this item to have an additional +7 chance to have that subtype pass to the offspring.
  • This item can also be used on Mythical traits in breedings, however, they only have a 1% chance to roll, having to roll a 100 for the trait to pass.

Marzipan Rose New;

  • Can use up to 3 of these items per offspring in a breeding.
  • Cannot stack the item on the same trait.
  • Applies to all offspring in a breeding.
  • When used on a Breeding:
  • Grants an additional +5 to the roll of any trait that the user wishes from any of the traits present on any of the parents, up to Legendary.
  • This item also gives a 1% chance to roll for a random mythic trait. This mythic trait roll does not count towards mutations and can only be rolled once per offspring, meaning even if using 3 Marzipan Roses, the offspring will only roll for the mythic trait once.

-

Pink Rose Old;

  • For Dromedairies:
  • Grants the dromedairy the Highland Subtype if they are currently not of the highland variety.
  • Can be used on MYO slots.

Pink Rose New;

  • Grants the Solarian the Head-to-Rump Mane trait. The hair length must be common unless the Solarian already has a hair length trait or used in conjunction with an item that grants it.
  • Can be used on MYO slots.
