Solarian Insider - September 2nd Edition
Greetings Solarians!
I come bearing some exciting news for you all today!
New Delivery Requests!
The Job Board has four new Delivery Requests for everyone to participate in!
These Delivery Requests allow trade-ins to receive reagents, collectibles, myo items, and trait items! These will stay up for the next few months and are not schduled to change until near Wintersong/New Dawn times.
The loot for the current static Job Board quests (the ones that require art/writing to enter) will also be changing around the next rollover of Delivery Requests so know that those rewards will be swapped out for new ones around Wintersong/New Dawn!
Droma Rework - Progress Update;
As we have mentioned in the past, we have been working on overhauling Dromas to make them more user-friendly and customizable. This has been a large project and taken quite a bit of time.. however, we are nearly done and will be starting to update everything on-site starting MONDAY, September 7th, so that we can launch the rework!
Due to this, we will be putting a temporary block on all Droma breedings, NMYOs, MYOs, and Design Updates (save for adding feathers) starting September 7th! These will be lifted as soon at the rework is done and everything is updated. While we don't have an exact date of when this will be completed but the bulk of the work is already done, so we are in the final phase of updating all items/pages/guides affected by the change.
If you have any NMYOs/Stasis MYOs/Breedings that have already been submitted to claims & rolled before the 7th, you can still put them into the upload queue after then for approval.. just know that the Droma may change rarity post update.
Any Dromas that change rarity negatively after the update (ie they drop in rarity) will be automatically compensated w/ trait stones or MYO tablets. So if you get a notification about being granted trait stones/MYO tablets, make sure to read the notes as it is likely due to the Droma changes.
Pet category changes;
We are going to be adjusting the way pets are categorized so that mimics are grouped with others of the same species instead of in a designated Mimic category. We are doing this to ensure that a single pet group isn't too large as the current Mimic group takes up a lot of room and is causing users to have a hard time finding certain pets in their inventories.
Because of this change, we are breaking up the Beast category as well into smaller groups so that it does not run into the same issue with being large. So, we are adding a handful of general groups for various species that have multiple one-offs - ie birds, fish, cats, etc. These will be umbrella categories with specific species having their own separate ones.
For example;
Say we have 50 cat related pets. We would make a Feline category for the majority of them BUT Chesipurrs (a cat based species) has multiple variants currently & more planned for down the line. So while we could add them to the Feline category, we will instead give them their own label to avoid bulking up said umbrella category.
That being said, the admins want to try and label these categories as something related to what the pets are without being super simple (ie we don't particularly want the groups to be named 'Cat', 'Rabbit', 'Lizard', etc.) unless that is something y'all would prefer. Mostly because the almanac where pets are listed & the information shared on them is generally done through the perspective of a Solarian researcher and we feel they would come up with more whimsical species names tbh. So we are putting up a few options for y'all to vote on for each group over the next couple weeks and whichever is voted on is what will be selected and implemented when we get to updating the pets after the Droma rework goes live.
You can vote for the names of the different categories in this google form (which will be open until the Droma rework is live) - https://forms.gle/n1kGRkFXkmwKRCYD8
Monthly Solarian Exchange;
We recently implemented a new mystery trade system called the Monthly Solarian Exchange, which you can read more information about here!
This system is still in it's early stages and we will leave it going until the new year to guage user interest.
Serah's Sketches - Oct/Nov coming soon!
Serah's Sketches for Oct/Nov will only be available in the Community Hall when the Hearthfire event goes live in October!
Loot Table Changes;
During the recent 2026 Summer Slam event, we tested the quest pages not having exact drop %'s listed.
Going forward, we will continue to not list exact %'s on the quest pages and will likely remove them from the existing pages. This helps lessen the amount of off-site images we need to use and will reduce the chances of broken images. Additionally, it will make it quicker for us to update these pages and quests as needed in the future.
That being said, we will be creating a google doc with all quests and their loot tables very soon. This doc will be linked in the TOS and in the Quest Guides so that things are still transparent for everyone and so that all of you can still see the exact loot chances for the quests if you would like.
The road ahead;
Want to give y'all a breakdown of what to expect over the next few weeks/months as things are getting sorted out on the back end and new things are being worked on.
- Events; Hearthfire will be starting in October. Wintersong will be in December and much like previous years will be a lowkey event with just boxes that you can grab daily. We will also be having the staff adopt batch going up later this month!
- Prior Event/Quest Rewards; The bases for the Manitodon & Tertraiasaur pets are nearly done. We had to put them on the back burner for a while to focus on events, msq, and droma rework things but I assure you these have not been forgotten and will be top priority after the droma rework is done. Again, compensation will be sent out to winners for the delay on these.
- Soulbound Item Changes; We will be starting to work on the next category of SB items likely after the Hearthfire event goes live!
- MSQ Lead-up; The MSQ lead-up quests had to be tweaked slightly due to some behind the scenes changes but are nearly ready as well!
That's all, folks!
