Greetings Solarians!
I come bearing some exciting news for you all today!
The Job Board is Finally re-opened!
After being closed since February of 2023, over three years, the Job Board is finally open again!
The Job Board has been updated to have nine static quests, meaning that the quests themselves will not be cycling out every few months. We have three general quests (can be completed with art or writing), three art quests (only completed with art), and three writing quests (only completed with writing).
We also have new Delivery Requests that will cycle out every so often. These Delivery Requests do not require art or writing to complete and are not affected by powers or buffs. They simply require you to trade in specific items in exchange for a variety of rewards.
Our veteran Solarians will recognize some of the quests and rewards for the jobs currently listed. We wanted to keep the jobs similar to the old ones with some slight changes on requirements. That being said, the jobs themselves will likely stay the same for the forseeable future. However, we will be updating the loot after a few months to give more variety. We have chosen to keep the old loot for the first few months so that newer users can have the opportunity to get some of the collectibles, pets, and recipes that they hadn't have easy access to!
There's also a new set of fungi pets that can be obtained by purchasing Companion Cage (Rainbow of Fungi) from the Pet Emporium!
New Staff!
We would like to welcome our newest members of staff that have joined the team since the beginning of May.
Ivyy has rejoined the team as an Artist, ghovlbites has joined the team as a Quest Roller, and moonpaw89 has joined the team as an Archivist/Mod!
We are excited to have them joining us and look forward to everything they bring to the team!
Feather hunt Quest Limit;
We had previously set a limit to the Feather Hunt quest submissions so that our Roller team was not overwhelmed, especially while we were training ghovlbites and allowing them to get more comfortable in their role. However, the Rollers have given us the all clear so there is now no longer a monthly limit on Feather Hunt quest submissions.
Serah's Sketches - June/July coming soon!
Serah's Sketches for April/May will only be available in the Community Hall with until June 1st! At the start of June, we will be updating the quest to a Pride-themed quest!
Trait Competion Winners;
We have finally chosen winning traits! That being said, we want to make a few things clear about the traits chosen.
Some that were suggested and chosen may be placed at a slightly different rarity than what was suggested.
Additionally, some chosen traits from the competition may not be released right away due to them being seasonal traits that we plan to release in future events or as ones that will be released/obtainable through upcoming quests. Of course, you will still be given your reward for the trait regardless of when it's released!
These traits will start being released starting on June 1st! As they are uploaded on-site, we will make an announcement in the Discord and will send users their rewards. We will make another on-site News post with a full list of the chosen traits once a good portion of them are uploaded and released. So stay tuned!
Recent changes;
A lot has changed over the last few month or so and we appreciate everyone sticking with us as things moved around.
Below are some of the notable changes!
1 - The following Species - Trait Items have been updated to no longer be Soulbound;
Ankylosaurid Egg - Cupid's Potion - Dusk Berry - Fool's Strange Brew - Four-Leaf Clover - Golden Egg - Lantern Berry - Magical Bauble - Party Hat Dusk cookie Glowing Ink - Crown of the Dancing Noble - Crown of the Raving Liege - Ophelia Mask - Darkness Lurker - Flutterfly - Super Hair Growth Elixir - Blossom Tonic - Caspian Mask - Cosmic Cookie - Lucky Clover Coin - Firecracker Candy - Shiny Sand - Theropod egg - Uncommon Infinity Stone - Rare Infinity Stone - Flower Crown - Lemon Scroll of Fire - Scroll of Frost - Scroll of Sparks - Unbound Tome of Fire - Unbound Tome of Frost - Unbound Tome of Sparks - Scroll of Stars - Petal Potion Note; If an item that was previously SB from the Trait Items category and are not on the list above (such as the Mythic Stone or Midas Wish Potion) that means they are staying SB.
2 - Updated Uncommon Infinity Stone and Rare Infinity Stone to no longer state that they cannot be used together.
3 - Midas' Wish Potion changed to the following description;
This potion acts similarly to an Infinity Stone/MYO Potion with a few drawbacks. It allows for you to add as many Uncommon to Legendary physical traits to your Kiamara/Dromedairy as you'd like EXPECT Seasonal Traits, Minor Powers, Major Powers, and Alternate Forms. Hoewever, none of these physical traits from the Kiamara/Dromedairy can rolled to pass on in breedings unless the other parent also has them. Kiamaras who use this item will be listed with their shown traits + Curse of Midas but for breeding rolls they will be treated as All Common Traits. Dromedairies who use this item will be listed with their shown traits + Curse of Midas but for breedings will be treated as Common Grassland Subtype/Gene. If the Curse of Midas is removed, all Common, Uncommon, and Rare traits will be able to be kept without needing additional trait stones to keep them.
3.5 - Additionally, we added the Curse of Midas as a non-passable trait;
This trait is only obtainable from using the Midas' Wish Potion on a Kiamara/Dromedairy. Solarians with this trait can not have any of their traits rolled to pass on to their children unless the other parent(s) have the trait with the exception of Minor Powers, Major Powers, and Alternate Forms. This trait can only be removed in one of the following ways;
- If all VR and L traits are removed (except Minor Powers, Major Powers, Alternate Forms)
- If a design update is submitted with the needed stones to properly apply the VR and L shown traits on the ref
- When used in a breeding, there is a 1% chance that the curse is broken, this trait will be removed, and all traits will stay on the Kia/Droma (Note; The curse stays in affect until AFTER the breeding is completed, so if broken the limit of traits passing will still apply to the kids of the breeding it breaks on)
4 - Pursuit of Power quest description updated from daily to week entry limits (resets on Monday rollover).
While prior the 3 per day limit would have meant 21 entries per week, we bumped it up slightly to 24 entries per week to make it easier to keep track of page-based entries since it's a multiple of 6.
We have plenty other changes to come soon and we hope that y'all are as excited for them as we are!
The road ahead;
Want to give y'all a breakdown of what to expect over the next few weeks/months as things are getting sorted out on the back end and new things are being worked on.
- Events; Super Summer Slam is going to be Space themed this year! We it will be going live either late June or early July, so keep an eye out! Additionally, the staff is putting together a mini-event to celebrate Pride Month, so expect more information about that very soon!
- Prior Event/Quest Rewards; The bases for the Manitodon & Tertraiasaur pets are being re-made atm so the rewards from the Summer Slam Fossil quest are going to be completed as soon as the base is done! Winners will be compensated for the extra wait on these pets when they are released. Additionally, we are still working on releasing the pets from the Nov/Dec Serah's sketches quest but they are being rolled out alongside other updates, so part of the reason they are delayed is because we are waiting on other stuffs! Just wanted to update on those and make sure y'all knew we haven't forgotten about those!
- Soulbound Item Changes; We will be starting to work on the next category of SB items shortly!
- Droma Special Overhaul/Rework; This was placed on a temporary hold while we worked on other things but is now back in the works!
- MSQ Lead-up; Now that the Job Board is updated and open again, we will be working on getting the first pre-MSQ quests ready to release!
