Benji's Shrine

What once was thought to be a shrine dedicated to the long-thought imaginary beings known as The Order and The Chaos has become a shrine for those who seek answers from the Calamity. Ever since the mountain erupted in a burst of energy, people have flocked to Benji's small shrine in hopes of appeasing the serpents of the sky and sea to fix the Calamity or, at the very least, to find answers to it. No one knows why it has happened as not a single soul can get close to the heart of it without feeling gut-wrenching dread. Whilst there is not much old Benji can do, he tries to keep the spirits of the people up the best he can by spreading the word of Sol, assisting in Mateship Ceremonies, and helping 'Maras achieve their Soulbindings to themselves - after all, these are dark times for everyone, and if Benji can help put a smile on someone's face, then his day is a good one.

“Greetings, 'Mara! It has been quite a year, hasn't it? The calamity opens up, nearly losing Gus during Hearth Fire, and still, we find ourselves having more questions than answers. In these tough times, it is often hard to know what you can do to help... But what if I told you, there was a way?" Benji smiled, holding out his hand. Within, you could see a small ball of light begin to form before it began to ascend, disappearing before it hit the ceiling. Benji let out s slight chuckle. "Amazing, isn't it? A few weeks ago, I didn't have a power to my name. But, I believe due to my want to help and bring order to a little bit of chaos, Hyjal, the serpent of Order, granted me a power vial. Inside, the power that is known as Illusion Manipulation. For me, this power can cause flickers of light, shapes in the dark to guide tired eyes. Help them through this calamity that was bestowed upon our realm." He smiled, eyes looking into yours. "It's the first power to be bestowed to someone from Hyjal or Tumult since The Calamity, and hopefully not the last... If you prove yourself in a situation of either bringing order or chaos, perhaps you too will have a gift given to you by beings of sky and sea"

There comes a time in every being's life where they search for a higher purpose. What that purpose is can be anything and everything. Once a Kiamara or Dromedairy feels eternally content with whatever it is they choose, they can consider themselves Soulbound. Soulbinding is not a ritual but more a state of ‘finalization’. It means the Kiamara or Dromedairy have committed themselves in the truest form of self-belief. Soulbinding is not limited by any physical constraint, but by whether a Kiamara or Dromedairy has reached a certain level of clarity. You may find that becoming Soulbound has its own perks, with some even reporting a small spout of luck.
