Kia name: Halima

“Duke Dragoste…” Halima uttered the name almost out of habit. Not only did the young Duke frequently disappear for days at a time, but he additionally left her to care for his estate... and what a weird one that was. Rather than a large, expensive building full of luxuries, the duke much rathered toil in the fields alongside the people. While his home was, indeed, much larger than the rest, he mostly used it to house the young orphans while the duchy was being rebuilt. He had never been one to lust for power. “At least I see why Cal appointed him Duke of the Agricultural District.” She huffed, staring at the mess that laid before her. She had been assigned this position, hand picked by Joseph himself after having spent her younger years helping his family out. If anything, the position came naturally to her. And now, she served him with great pleasure… and major annoyance.

She stood in front of a vast, unprepared plot of land that had been sectioned off from the rest of the estate. Dirt was piled in uneven clusters, and weeds protruded from every nook and cranny. This was far different from the otherwise pristine condition the rest of the estate was in, and for good reason.

The gross and overgrown portion of fields were intended to teach the younger generation how to properly farm so they could provide for themselves and for the rest of the kingdom. Of course, the young master had intended on teaching them himself, but him being gone meant the responsibility fell upon Halima… and where were the younglings? Where were their tools?

“Couldn’t even prep for me.” Halima clicked her tongue.

“Cloud, Ash…” She turned to her pets, two prized Axolus she had befriended as a teenager during the war. “Find the children.” She commanded. They carried her ever-familiar order with pleasure, and before she knew it she was able to herd each and every child one by one.

“What did you think you were doing?” She scolded, though the kids knew her well enough to know she wasn’t truly mad. Instead, they all giggled as though it were a game. She couldn’t hide the smile that began to form at the corner of her lips.

“You found us!” one chirped.

“We thought we hid so well.” another said glumly, though her eyes lit up as Halima handed her a shovel.

“You can’t escape the eyes of an axolus.” She mused. “And my two are expertly trained.”

It didn’t take long for each of the kids to be rounded up and in order. Their laughter subsided, though their wide smiles and eager eyes never faltered. One by one they stood in front of ‘Miss Hali,’ their appointed substitute teacher for the time being.

“Gloves on, and remember, if you’re going to be in my garden-“

A chorus of kids cut her off. “we gotta be safe!”

Halima smiled before waving them off. “Now weed that garden!”

(Story altered slightly for the concept but basically she puts them to work LOL)

Kia name: Micha

How does this Kia handle the unexpected bun younglings rummaging through their garden?: Well, to say handling this many young buns is not an easy task. Micha, however, thinks they do a well job at it! What more do bunnies love than snacks! Micha offers the little kias running around their ankles fresh vegetables out of their garden! Even encouraging each little bun to pick their own snack to make it special! Carrots, snap peas, celery, anything! The overwhelmed kia has more than enough veg to share with the little ones! Micha especially loves to tell the little buns stories of old and fairy tales of new while they have their little treat! They may be overwhelming at first but, Micha hopes once they all are grown they will look fondly at being at their farm and enjoying playing in the field!
